The Sino-Southeast Initiative (SSI) is a publication dedicated to Chinese and Southeast Asian affairs. We aim to produce high-quality think pieces, in-depth analysis, commentary and interviews with scholars in the field to offer a distinct platform to engage with dynamics affecting the region. SSI has five coverage sections: Politics, Security, Economy, Business, and Science & Technology.
The initiative was started by a group of friends all with ties to the region. Collectively we have experiences at J.P Morgan, Boston Consulting Group, The World Bank, Tencent, The Malaysian Central Bank, The German Chamber of Commerce, Mackenzie Investments and various universities, governmental & non-governmental organizations.
